7th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament ReCap!
The Operation Blessing 7th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament saw a fantastic turnout. With a total of 17 boats and 34 participants, the event was a resounding success, bringing together fishing enthusiasts and supporters alike.
Among the anglers were our board members Craig Chyene – Chairman of the Board, Kevin Humphreys – Vice Chairman of the Board, Janet Goodman – Treasure, Natalie Howard – Event Coordinator, and her husband Bryan Howard – Photographer, all there to support OBJC. Kevin Smith – Tournament Director and Anthony Susa – Treasure from the Cleburne Bass Club were responsible for the critical task of the weigh-in and ensuring the accuracy of the event.
The tournament awarded 3 total prizes.1st Place went to Justin Stewart and Michael Kile and 2nd Place was awarded to Keith Maxwell and CJ Thompson. The prize for the biggest bass was awarded to Keith Maxwell and CJ Thompson. The total payout for the event amounted to an impressive $1,785.00.
The event was generously supported by our corporate sponsors: Trans Texas Surveying, Cleburne Ford, Pinnacle Bank, Grandview Bank, Chicken Express, Air Masters, AG Trust Farm Credit, Edward Jones, and 88.3 The Journey. Their contributions were essential to the tournament’s success. Thanks to their support and the participation fees, the tournament’s take-home total was over $6,000.
The event was a great success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation and generous sponsorship. It provided an excellent opportunity for anglers to showcase their skills and for the community to come together in support of Operation Blessing of Johnson County.
